There is no one diet that is right for everyone. Our needs and preferences are unique qualities to each of us. While some people may find it easy to adjust to and follow the diets typically discussed by environmentalist, others my not want (or may be medically unable) to follow that lifestyle.
To combat climate change, we don't all have to eat the same, but we do all have to change the way we eat.
When you work with Planet Based Nutrition, we will assess what your lifestyle is currently, explore changes you can make to improve your own health, discover choices that will benefit the planet, and see how those goals align. We will create small, actionable steps you can take each week to move toward our larger goals, and adjust our plan as necessary.
I am a HAES weight-inclusive practitioner. This means that I do not view the number on the scale as a measurement of health and I will never use weight as a goal in our work together. I believe when we eat nourishing foods in the way that our body asks for them, our body will naturally settle where it needs to be.
